Washington — – Rep. Mike Honda prefers the floor to a chair, sitting Japanese-style with his back against the couch. He loves to fish, not golf. Not the glamorous Idaho fly fishing that some of his Silicon Valley constituents might enjoy, but lowly surf fishing on Monterey Bay.

Honda parks his car near Seascape and walks along the beach toward Castroville studying the currents to choose the best lure.
