Harmeet Dhillon Appears on FBN’s ‘Lou Dobbs Tonight’ To Discuss Law Against Encouraging Illegal Immigration
According to Dhillon:
I am a passionate First Amendment lawyer. I found this decision to be crazy, because it was not even with the plaintiff who was appealing, the defendant who’s appealing for the case asked for. The judge, after seeing the original briefs reached out and asked him to brief the other issue, which nobody was asking about. Is this law so vague? The law says it is a crime to encourage somebody to come into a country and stay in the country illegally. Just like it is a crime to encourage somebody to break other law. They are sympathetic to people encouraging their relatives to stay legally or lawyers encouraging clients to stay illegally. The law violated the First Amendment. I think the case is ripe for an appeal to the United States Supreme Court. It makes no sense.

It has been an impotent performance by many of our Republican members of Congress, unfortunately. People who we all respect originally like Trey Gowdy made a lot of excuses for some of these guys and said that they think they are great and so forth, so here we are with the final minutes on the clock. James Comey will finally come and testify but I have no hope that anything will come out of that that’s worthwhile.
We will have to have better people running in the next circle. But we also have the whole mishap with the NRCC hacking and so forth. It is crazy. It is not our best and brightest hour unfortunately.
