Clearly we have learned that he [Andrew McCabe] is part of hard Left people at the FBI. He was executing a plan, and so Rosenstein came on the scene. It’s very interesting that Rosenstein didn’t recuse himself and McCabe didn’t. They both stayed on and now we have this mess. This whole investigation is paralyzing our government.

Clearly he [Glenn Simpson] fears legal jeopardy from lies that he is told. That’s the correct implication. That’s troubling. Ultimately, unless the DOJ pursues him for perjury, nothing is going to happen as a result for refusing to testify in Congress, and of course Rod Rosenstein is effectively in charge of that. We are kind of in an impasse. Everybody seems to be waiting to run out the clock in Judiciary and hoping that the Democrats take control.
For all that the president has accomplished, he could have accomplished more without the distraction and obstruction from people not doing their jobs. It’s been a disappointment. It will be a while before that gets turned around, if it ever is. It’s a critical failure in our government right now that we don’t have a functioning Department of Justice to investigate Big Tech and investigate Russia perjury, and find out what really happened with Hillary Clinton’s behaviour and her foundation and so forth. It’s a big step back, but hopefully the president can continue on course and appoint the right people once the top people clear out.
