Our firm filed this lawsuit in July, 2016 representing individuals harmed in the riot that took place in San Jose on June 2, 2016 after a rally to support Donald J. Trump for President. The suit seeks damages and injunctive relief against the City of San Jose and its Mayor and Chief of Police for directing attendees directly into a riot while barring safe passage in other directions, and violating the civil rights of the attendees. The suit also sues individual defendants who attacked individual plaintiffs, for their damages. A few of the defendants have been arrested and are being prosecuted, while many others have not.
