President Trump’s Counsel of Record Issues Statement After Today’s 9-0 SCOTUS Ruling
Case overview
“Today’s unanimous Supreme Court decision underscores the bedrock principles of our democracy and the rule of law”
Washington D.C. — The Dhillon Law Group, which is the counsel of record for President Donald J. Trump’s case to keep him on the ballot in Colorado, issued the following statement after today’s 9-0 ruling by the Supreme Court of the United States.
“Today’s unanimous Supreme Court decision underscores the bedrock principles of our democracy and the rule of law,” said Harmeet K. Dhillon, founder and managing partner of the Dhillon Law Group. “This victory is not just for President Trump but for the integrity of our electoral system and the rights of voters across the country. The attempt to use the 14th Amendment in this manner was a dangerous overreach that, if left unchallenged, could have set a perilous precedent for future election. We are proud to have defended the constitutional rights at stake and grateful for the Supreme Court’s unequivocal affirmation of these fundamental principles.”
Dhillon Law Group partner David Warrington, lead lawyer defending President Trump in all of the 14th Amendment cases, was counsel of record in the Supreme Court in Trump v. Anderson, joined by Harmeet K. Dhillon, Gary Lawkowski, and Jonathan Shaw. Scott Gessler of Gessler Blue served as counsel on the case as well, and Jonathan Mitchell argued the case before the court. The Dhillon Law Group led the litigation as counsel in all of the 14th Amendment challenges nationwide.”
