EMERYVILLE — A Sacramento man who wore a traditional Sikh sword to an Emeryville theater last month says he was unfairly asked to remove the small weapon or leave the movie house.

Manjot Singh, 29, said he wants AMC Theatres to change its policies after he and his wife, Ikman Kaur, were ejected on June 22 because they were both carrying kirpans, ceremonial swords that are a symbol of Sikh faith.
