Harmeet K. Dhillon
OUR HISTORY

The Founding Vision
Dhillon Law Group was founded with a mission to provide strategic, responsive, and creative legal services for individuals and businesses. That vision was brought to life by Harmeet K. Dhillon, who founded our firm in 2006 in San Francisco.
From its inception, Dhillon Law Group distinguished itself through its commitment to excellence in defending the rights of our clients, especially in the areas of civil liberties, free speech, business, and political law.

A Trailblazing Founder
Harmeet K. Dhillon is a nationally recognized civil rights and constitutional law attorney, known for her zeal in achieving justice for her clients and helping them realize creative and practical solutions to seemingly intractable problems. Her fearless approach and commitment to excellence became the cornerstone of the firm’s identity—one we strive to uphold in her absence.
In December 2024, Harmeet accepted an appointment by President Donald J. Trump to serve as the Assistant Attorney General leading the Civil Rights Division at the U.S. Department of Justice. Upon her confirmation in April 2025, she formally departed Dhillon Law Group. While she no longer works with us, we continue her vision of fierce advocacy and excellence every day.

A Legacy of Leadership and Impact
Under Harmeet’s leadership, our firm expanded rapidly in both scope and impact. We became widely known for our participation in high-stakes litigation involving constitutional law, election law, business and employment disputes, and defamation. Harmeet assembled a team of attorneys who share her passion and commitment to our mission.
Over the years, Dhillon Law Group has represented political candidates, journalists, whistleblowers, activists, business owners, religious organizations, and others whose rights were being threatened. We have also litigated landmark cases across multiple levels of the judiciary, including matters involving free speech, unlawful COVID-19 mandates, medical malpractice on minors, and the unlawful removal of candidates from state ballots. We are not afraid to go where other law firms won’t.
